As an IT administrator, I’d like to be sure all apps are installed correctly and mandatory apps are disabled for uninstalling. As this already works, I’d like to keep it that way when using <code>com.microsoft.Office365</code> .At this moment, <code>com.microsoft.Office365</code> splits up in different kind of apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and OneDrive), resulting in a daily install of the complete bundle every day.I can work around this by adding all listed apps as separate mandatory app, so it won’t install day by day the complete bundle, but it would be nice to have a way to not think about this.

This makes it challenging to manage environments with diverse needs, like multiple office locations.For example, I want to provide a core set of 15 apps to everyone in the company. For our Marketing team at the Amsterdam office, I want to add 3 extra marketing-specific apps. Right now, I have to create a separate profile for them with a list of all 18 apps. If I need to add a new core app, I have to remember to add it to every single profile, which is inefficient and prone to error.A great first step would be:<ul><li>Introduce a second array, let's call it <code>EnabledApps2</code>.</li><li>The App Catalog should merge the contents of both <code>EnabledApps</code> and <code>EnabledApps2</code> to create the final list of available apps for the user.</li><li>This would allow me to push a base configuration with the first array and a supplemental configuration with the second, drastically simplifying management.</li></ul>

We are using Jamf with a configuration profile to prevent Microsoft AutoUpdate from being utilised with Microsoft Apps. We have the below configuration profile (com.microsoft.autoupdate2) restricting MAU to ‘Manual’ so that it doesn’t prompt or allow users to interact. &lt;dict&gt;&lt;key&gt;IgnoreUIOpenAfterInstall&lt;/key&gt;&lt;true/&gt; &lt;key&gt;AcknowledgedDataCollectionPolicy&lt;/key&gt;&lt;string&gt;RequiredDataOnly&lt;/string&gt; &lt;key&gt;HowToCheck&lt;/key&gt;&lt;string&gt;Manual&lt;/string&gt;&lt;key&gt;ChannelName&lt;/key&gt; &lt;string&gt;Current&lt;/string&gt;&lt;key&gt;EnableCheckForUpdatesButton&lt;/key&gt;&lt;false/&gt;&lt;/dict&gt; This sufficed until now as we are Jamf Apps to manage the application updates with a 3 day defferal period, but we would now like to swap to App Catalog for deployment and updating as it’s a better user experience. Because we have this configuration profile - App Catalog will not take over the updating so I think having a key we can set in the nl.root3.catalog domain to ‘Always update microsoft apps’ or similar would be helpful.

As an end user I want to be less distracted by update interactions for open apps during an update schedule run so that I can continue and finish my work and be more productive.As an IT administrator I want to make sure apps are updated in time so that my organization can meet its compliance goals.We need a solution to make sure both have an acceptable solution.
